Based on the FAA’s 40-hour flight-time minimum for Part 61 private pilot single-engine airplane training. This starting estimate uses 30 hours with an instructor, 10 solo aircraft hours and 10 ground hours; the instructor and ground amounts are planning assumptions. Additional training may be needed. Excludes medical, tests, checkride, supplies and other fees. Confirm current rates with your instructor.
